This is exactly why the system fails. That 12-1 conference team is only getting in because of their record, not their resume. Nobody would put money on Ohio State going 12-1 in the SEC West. So comparing records is apples to oranges.
The question isn't if they could go 12-1 in the SEC west.. the question is can they go 10-2?
