Is his hiring official?

If not, maybe.

If it is, then no.

When Florida is swimming in titles in about 3-5 years I'll bump this topic.

He's better than you deserve. You deserve Super AIDS, and when I say you, I mean the entire city of Gainesville.

No way to tell yet. He could be the next Meyer, or the next Zook. What he's done at CSU has been very impressive, though. UF can roll the dice, or try for a decent but not home-run hire. How many home-run hires are out there and available?

Yep, the job isn't as good as it once was. People aren't that interested anymore. Foley is an idiot.

I think he would be good hire. It is a risk, but the reward could be huge.

Dan Mullen is laughing his arse off. will UF fans still think Foley is the greatest super duper AD if its true he hired McElwain and scheduled a home & home? this move is boneheaded on a jay jacobs level.

I realize Foley knows more about hiring coaches than I do, but it seems like a pretty underwhelming hire from my point of view.

McElwain hasn't done near enough as a HC to earn a shot at a big program IMO.

Sure, you might strike gold and get an elite coach...or you just hired another Saban assistant who flames out as a HC.
