Well I think South Alabama has been around since 2009.

Found a quote from their AD

Perhaps the biggest asset in South Alabama's corner, Erdmann says, is the university's board of trustees.

"I think the fact that we are self-governed, if you will, by an independent board of trustees provides us with great opportunities and great advantages to shape and mold our university's future, as the board and university sees fit,'' Erdmann said.
