While I agree that 17 points on the field will surely get you beat.........

Statistically we had a 99.8% chance to win the ball game according to ESPN:

"After Georgia scored the go-ahead touchdown and extra point with 18 seconds remaining, Georgia had a 99.8% chance to win the game. That's the highest win probability this season by a team that ended up losing the game."

Lowest Win Probability in a Win - FBS Teams This Season
Opponent Lowest Win Probability
Georgia Tech Georgia 0.2%
Hawaii UNLV 0.3%
South Carolina Florida 0.5%
Tennessee South Carolina 0.9%
Duke Pittsburgh 1.6%

So the argument for the squib kick losing the game for us is a very strong one. We were in a great position to win and we......didn't.

@DDD

Saw the stat earlier myself. The problem is, it's useless without adjusted probability immediately following the squib, and then another immediately following the 21 yard scramble. Without that, it's just cute to look at for an opposing fanbase or somebody wielding a pitchfork.
