The problem with accepting the record is that before the season, no one knew how bad Carolina and Florida would turn out to be. Those are two awful, awful football teams by anyone's standard, yet UGA lost to them anyways. There is a new standard in college football now, whether you like it or not; you either make the playoff or you don't.

And nobody thought we would make the playoff. Or, at least MOST on here didn't think we would.

ETA: Georgia will be sitting at home watching MISSOURI play for the SEC title. I think that's gonna irk a lot of fans too.

Sur it will. It irks me. I'm just not going to run around like my hair is on fire when we did exactly what most people though we would do. Reat the title again. Perspective. Perspective is generally something you gain when looking back. For instance...many thought qwe would lose to South carolina or Florida or both and that one fo those would win the SEC East. While most did not like the thought of losing those two games, they understood and were basically ok with that thought.

With perspective, we know that neither Florida or South Carolina were very good and neither won the division. Therefore, while most on here understood before the season we might lose to those two, nobody knew they would be as bad as they were. Perspective. On the other hand, nobody thought Missouri was going to be very good.
That thought was reinforced by their loss to Indiana and our blow out win against them. However, when you look at their record, and how they have improved, we know they are actually a pretty decent team.....yet, we cannot (or will not) understand them going to the SECCG ahead of us. That is a lack of perspective. Missouri beat the hottest team from the West. Arkansas had shut out...SHUT OUT....two pretty good teams. VERY unusual to shut out a SEC team.
