add in the realizations that our coach is pretty full of shite on the player safety issue, and that's going to make defending him a chore over the offseason.

BA doesn't have a life threatening condition, he wasn't being drug to the line by his linemen because he blew out his knee, he wasn't put back in the game while concussed, he has the equivalent of a big bruise...

My comments weren't Brandon Allen specific. You're also forgetting about them playing him in the last half of the season last year at 60%. He needed the experience and we surely didn't have the horses to really compete, and were in a tough spot, but Bert appears to be talking our of both sides of his mouth on this one and that's all it takes to sway public opinion.

I understand BA doesn't have a disc or vertebrae issue, but a deep tissue one, but that's still very painful. Back pain is no joke, regardless of it's origin - mine is worse than labor pain sometimes. And when it's in full force & aggravated by movement, especially rotation or twisting, it can be excruciating & absolutely prohibits mobility, even arm movement. Since he doesn't have an injury that would cause serious repercussions if hit, my main concern was that it was greatly affecting his performance at a time when we needed someone in there who wasn't hurting every time he went back to pass. I feel bad for him bc I know how bad he was hurting, but it affected the entire team, particularly in the second half. ... And the absurd amount of pass plays called, even short ones, was unbelievable knowing that he was hurting like that. There's no excuse for not at least trying the other Allen ... Or calling more running plays for that matter.

He seemed fine on the sidelines fixing his hair at the end of the game.
