How long would treatment last? And when he does beat it, is it the kind of thing you can come back from, or is he likely done on the football feild?

Depends on the type of Lymphoma. He may be done if it's the hard to treat kind and could even lose his life but if it's the treatable kind he has a good chance of returning.

Also, since pro-athletes have health checks all the time, it's very possible that even if it's the worst/hardest to treat version that he can beat it. But man, it's HARD either way.

Chicago Cubs starting 1st baseman had lymphoma earlier in his life and recovered 100%.
