We all know they claim to be the Harvard of the South, the flagship of the State of MS, a town and University steeped in tradition and mystique inhabited by uber wealthy people.

So let's examine some of that and find out just what the University of Mississippi is all about.

They rank 54th in average salaries of their graduates....12 spots behind in state rival MSU and last in the SEC.

They rank 13th in the SEC in Academics

As the "flagship" University, they have less Omaha appearances than MSU, less NCAA tourney appearances than MSU, and have never been to Atlanta in football. They have lost 4 out of the last 5 egg bowls to MSU.

They are the only team to have a basketball game get rained out. That's because their shitty arena's roof leaks so bad.

Don't expect great food when you visit the Grove, they can't have open flames so they resort to buying chicken finger tailgating platters from Wal Mart, or Abners for the more affluent ones.

Ole Miss students are very political and patriotic. You can see examples of this here

Here you see them using their right to free speech and protest, no matter how offensive

Ole Miss prides themselves on Old South traditions, with their mascot begin the Rebels and represented by Colonel Reb, recently replaced by a Black Bear (lol). You can hear the tune of slow dixie being played in the grove, complete with tents decorated with cheap chandeliers and confederate flags

The OM KA chapter has an Old South formal every year where they pretend to be old, wealthy plantation owners. Old times here are not forgotten

Here is a video explaining Ole Miss tradition much better than I can

That folks, is the University of Mississippi. A place where relevancy in regards to both sports and social norms ended circa 1964. Completely phony, ignorant, delusional, entitled douchebags reside here. Ole Miss is all smoke and mirrors, always has been, always will be.

The university that wasn't given a land grant by the US government out of pity for poor farmers.

By being "The" University of Mississippi we are the first. Most states end developing an Ag school and they usually call it "State." Auburn is the exception. But the fact that you reference salary as a measure of wealth shows you that you have an Ag mentality. We measure wealth by net worth. Millionaires send their kids to Oxford to get an experience not a job with a salary. Ole Miss is a leader in research and has the pharmaceutical school, law school and medical school. We have a good business school. As far as the Havard of the South, no public school is in Havard's league. In the SEC, Vanderbilt may come close. I find your observations interesting nevertheless.

The KA s at state participate in old south also... Or are you unaware?

Those kkk members were not students as you claim...or insinuate
..one was wearing an auburn hat.. Doesn't make them all from auburn though.. Practicing free speech on public property... Nothing the universit could do unfortunately... However there was a protest against them on campus as well.. Where's that picture?

And those idiot freshman burning the Obama decal.. May have been on to something...
Or do you not believe executive orders are illegal and not supported by any laws anywhere... These are steps of a dictator... But carry on rustling jimmies..
