Don't have the personnel to run the ball effectively. Puts the game in the hands of the QB to make everything happen, including the short passing game that functions as their answer to a running game. If you don't have an elite QB, this plan struggles against decent defenses. It's even worse when your best playmaker is injured. The loss of Treadwell crippled the offense, because there's no one to bail them out on third down.
This really isn't Freeze as much as the pieces currently there to work with.

Why doesn't he have the pieces?
He's been there 3 years and majority of the roster would be "his guys".
Is it because he is still learning how to properly build a roster and depth true recruiting or is it a development problem with the players on campus?
