Let me first start out by saying that I hate FSU, Jimbo, and most notably Jameis as much as, or more than anyone in America.

Having said that, they haven't lost a game in 2 years. They are the defending national champs. Why does it matter that they have "almost" lost some games? If you recall, Auburn in 2010 almost lost every game they played in, yet they never came up short.

Schedules are made many years in advance, and FSU had ND, Louisville on the road in an incredibly tough Thursday night atmosphere, and just beat their rival, also on the road. Style points shouldn't matter. Hell, TCU put up what, 82, and then almost lost to Kansas. Points scored on a given Saturday can differ greatly, but all that matters is that W.

They are an undefeated power 5 school and are behind two teams that have lost. Baffling and disrespectful. If I was an FSU fan I would be IRATE.

Edit: This will make some think I have an agenda, but regardless; Bama has had one tough road game all year, and they lost it. There ya go. And before you say LSU.... don't.

I would probably be upset as well if I were a FSU fan. But it sure was fun watching Kanell react.

Strength of Scheduel in the 50's. Not so surprising.

If they don't lose, they'll be there.

Florida State has as much or more talent than any other team in America. They haven't played like it but lets be honest Alabama hasn't either. Florida State is going to be a dangerous team in the playoff no matter where they are ranked.

2010 Auburn squeaked by a very difficult schedule.

2014 FSU is squeaking by a very easy schedule.

Being undefeated is meaningless if your competition sucks. Marshall is 10-0 and not even ranked. The fact they are undefeated means nothing because they have played a mountain of garbage.

FSU is a good, but not great, team this year. There are 4-5 teams who would be favored over them.

There are about 10-12 teams in the country who would likely be undefeated against FSU's schedule to this point.

If I was an FSU fan, I know my team just has to win out and will be in the playoffs and the Noles can hold their own with anyone in the country... basically....I wouldn't care.

To be fair, if we were still under the BCS system, undefeated FSU would permanently at #1. (which is the mindset I think you're in.)

People are disgusted by Jameis and Jimbo. They'll get a ticket to the playoff but nobody will feel good about letting them in.

The committee is supposed to rank the teams by how good they think they are, correct? If they don't think FSU is the best team in college football, then they shouldn't be #1.

They haven't really played anyone this entire year.

Okie State: 5 - 5, (3 - 4)

Clemson: 7 - 3, (whooped by Georgia Tech)

NC State: 5 - 6 (2 - 5)

Wake For: 2 - 8 (0 - whatever)

Syracuse: 3 - 7 (1 - 5)

Notre Dame: 7 - 3 (lost to Northwestern)

Louisville: 7 - 3 (lost to Virginia)

Virginia: 4 - 6

Miami: 6 - 4

W: 46

L: 45

vs. Bama

WVU: 6 - 4

Florida: 5 - 4

Ole Miss: 8 - 2

Arkansas: 5 - 5

A&M: 7 - 4

Tenn: 5 - 5

LSU: 7 - 4

MSU: 9 - 1

Auburn: 7 - 3

Leaving Auburn off:

W: 52

L: 30

The SOS isn't even remotely close.

This is stupid. If they win all their games, they will be in the playoff and have a chance to prove they are the best team again.

Objectively however, I don't see how anyone can argue they aren't significantly worse than last year. Last season they DESTROYED damn near every team they played. Winston sat out an entire half like six times.

What they did last year should, and doesn't have any bearing on what they are doing this year.

The perception of the ACC is that it is really weak (and it is). That being said, they haven't only struggled away but at home.

They can be irate all they want. It won't matter. If they win out, they are in as it should be. Look at it this way, even if they get pushed to number 4 they'd have the exact same matchup as if they were number 1.

If I were a Nole fan, I'd be more worried about:

1. Are we using the same signals as last year to call the plays in from the sideline?

2. If the answer to #1 is yes, then is Coker smart enough to remember them?

3. If the answer to #2 IS yes, then is Winston smart enough to learn new signals?

FSU is suffering from the teams they've beaten.

Notre Dame is a perfect example. They squeaked by them. ND lost to Northwestern this week. If you haven't watched this year, Nortwestern is absolute dog shite. Any cred in that ND win was lost when NW.

They barely beat Clemson. Who is now a 3 loss team after getting dick hammered by Ga Tech.

They've only beaten 2 teams who are still currently ranked. Clemson is barely in at 22 and Louisville is at 25. By the end of the year, none of their wins will be against a team still in the top 25.

Because they do not consider previous weeks rankings the committee has, intentionally or not, placed an importance on "finishing strong". Might bite a school in the arse if they are not careful.

They play in the ACC. Do you think they would be undefeated in the SEC?
