Because that is the type of coach that has brought NC's to the Gators. He trusts that formula and has decided that is what is best for him to keep his job.

A defensive minded coach is more than capable of making a quality offensive hire. These SEC jobs are so much more than X and O hires. It's the totality of the job and all the extra stuff outside you have to manage as well. Then you have to manage your staff and fill it with coordinators that complement what you do best. Muschamp's temperament and the way he handled a sideline was embarrassing and if he was that way in any other facet of his program it shows.
