IMO I don't think the committee cares about where they send teams...their job is only to pick the top 4 teams. They likely couldnt' care less about bowl revenue or how many fans will travel.

disagree...FSU vs Miss State in Rose Bowl may have trouble selling tickets...fans might hold out for the game in Dallas if they were to win. Don't discount the logistical challenges of a multi-week playoff system.

The melt would be amazing in the future to see something like number one seed Bama and fourth seeded LSU get sent to Pasadena instead of NOLA because of this (though 1/9/12 didn't matter).

you're a lot sharper than that man. Money makes the world go round. If you think this is 13 people sitting around a table making a decision without even taking finances into account then I overestimated you
