Whichever school that finishes 5th and out of the playoff, should file a lawsuit and get a federal judge in their home jurisdiction issue some sort of injunction to keep FSU from playing.
Man, that would be all kinds of awesome!
If it is Baylor, is Ken Starr still there?
Make it happen Jeebus!

The entire university system should be ashamed at the way this fiasco has been handled and adjudicated. Jameis would be gone, Fisher docked a mill, and the FSU PD would have been sacked after a review of who's left thats honest if I were the chancellor of that university.

It would seem that if he isn't in school and committed to being in school through the semester, there's no way FSU could take the PR hit of letting him play in the game.
If only it were that easy. I think students get like the first 2 weeks or month of classes to drop said classes. He could be enrolled, play in the NC game, then drop out the day before the last day to withdraw from classes.

I thought the whole point was to drop out by the time the ruling came back and he wouldn't be classified as a student. Is that what this is all about?

They're going to drag it out until after the season, at which point he's just going to quit school to go to the NFL.
All involved parties are pushing for that specific outcome.
I am going to guess the girl and her attorney are not pushing for this, but that is just a guess.

"quit school"? I'm not sure the kid can read, let alone pass classes. I hope they take his Heisman away. I wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole as a NFL GM

The hearing is still rigged.. But assuming they do find him guilty they will already be in the NC. They'll just have to play without jameis possibly.
But they will get the money for being in the playoffs and jumbo will get his bonuses.. They would get destroyed by whichever sec team makes the championship game anyway, now they get an excuse.. Oh we had our back up QB built in.

Wish TN would do this for AJ. Play him till he is found guilty.

Yes that was the point. If his lawyer feels the trial is not going in his favor jameis can play in the games prior to the hearing verdict... And then drop out. He will have that option now thanks to the delay...
But if things go well and an inconclusive or not guilty.. Or whatever verdict is not damaging then Winston stays and plays in NC if they make it.
Either way hes done with "college"... That kid never learned a damn thing about life or education... He does have first hand knowledge of corruption.. Actually i know he has no clue what is being orchestrated on his behalf.. Just glad coach/Fsu/Tallahassee there to save him....

Why let morals get in the way of more wins ?

The 30 for 30 on the Jameis/Jimbo era of FSU football is going to be Emmy worthy

I doubt they have anything to worry about anyway. The investigation was so fricked up to begin with it would be hard to find him guilty of anything. FSU knows this and it is probably the only reason they even agreed to this hearing

This is big-time college football. Nothing new here. You'd recognize that if not for your historic irrelevancy.

You're probably right, but that's a massive PR hit for FSU - like when Auburn played Brent Fullwood all season when he never even went to school. Even FSU has a little self-respect. Don't they?

There's never been any program more deserving of the Death Penalty. The whole culture around the Criminoles program is so warped that it defies belief.
