re: The Pledge of Alliegence

Not a troll. I just think that the entire idea of routinely and almost robotically reciting an oath of loyalty - and especially making our children do it at such an early age before they're even able to understand it - is all wrong. It's something straight up copied and pasted from a totalitarian state. I still love America but it's the idea and application of the pledge, not its contents, that bother me.
