Question: Why would a navy seal from Texas give Alabama a pre-game speech? He has absolutely nothing in common with the Alabama football team.

Because Bama and Saban are paying him respectable coin to deliver the speech to the Bama squad. And because Bama is making Luttrell more rich than he already is, Luttrell will deliver a million dollar speech...and Bama will win because 90 percent of the Bama squad is too dumb to figure out that Luttrell is there for the coin. They'll completely buy in to his speech.
The REC and Saban know their squad is technically dumb so they're not worried about people questioning Luttrell's lack of connection to Alabama.
Point is...Bama will win because the dumb players will think of themselves as pseudo-Navy Seals that night. Hell, they may just kill someone on the field if they view Mississippi State as a true "enemy".
