If Mizzou accomplishes the impossible, wins SECCG, and keeps SEC out of playoffs

people want the regular season, conference champ games, and playoffs to be meaningful from start to finish, they'll create a playoff system like what I mentioned in the OP
The playoff needs 8 teams. 5 p5 conference champs and 3 at large bids. That way the coaches and players have 100% control over making the playoffs and there is a set criteria on making the playoffs. The BCS and the playoffs don't allow coaches and players to control their own destiny. After all the changes to the bowl system it's crazy that a p5 team could go undefeated and not make the playoffs.
Stupid post is stupid. You can't say that "coaches and players would have 100% control"...but then give someone else control to let in 3 extra teams. That's not 100%. Nor can there be "set criteria" when you have to have a panel voting for 3 at large teams...just like we have a panel voting now. Makes no fricking sense.

Yes they would. Coaches and players would have 100% control over making the playoffs by winning their conference. The at large bids are the only ones voted in.

Yes it can. The set criteria of making the playoffs, is winning your conference.
If you can understand this, you're dumb.

Winning your conf. is an automatic bid into the playoffs. That Is having 100% control.
The set criteria would be that if you win your conference, you're in.
