The playoff needs 8 teams. 5 p5 conference champs and 3 at large bids. That way the coaches and players have 100% control over making the playoffs and there is a set criteria on making the playoffs. The BCS and the playoffs don't allow coaches and players to control their own destiny. After all the changes to the bowl system it's crazy that a p5 team could go undefeated and not make the playoffs.

Stupid post is stupid. You can't say that "coaches and players would have 100% control"...but then give someone else control to let in 3 extra teams. That's not 100%. Nor can there be "set criteria" when you have to have a panel voting for 3 at large teams...just like we have a panel voting now. Makes no fricking sense.
