as head coach. Before we played them this year I was legitimately worried about them. We ended up beating the crap out of them & I was never even close to being nervous about anything during that game. Then a sucky Texas A&M team kicked their butt at Auburn last week. They really had all that fluke luck last year. You have to have a defense to win championships & Auburn won't be able to field a good D with Gus at the helm.

No offense Auburn fans, most of y'all are pretty cool on here but this is just my thinking & I know some of y'all actually realize this too but won't admit it.

It's quite possible we won't win a natty with Gus, especially considering 99% of college coaches never win one.

I could have said this quite a lot about MSU and Dan.

Best not to use such terrible absolutes when having discussions.

I know this a troll post, but its just so exceptionally bad I thought it warranted mentioning. Try again and put more gusto into it next time.

I don't see any reason why Auburn can't get better on defense with better recruiting (and possibly a change at D-coordinator if the current guy can't get it done).

Over the next 5 years I would bet good money that Auburn has a better record than MSU and is at a minimum 3-2 head to head. MSU has a nice veteran team and a really good QB and could legitimately win the NC this year, but nobody really believes they are going to consistently be a top 10-15 type program like Auburn will be under Gus (and I'm not trying to say that would be Auburn's peak under Gus obviously, just that I think you can pencil them somewhere in the top 15 about every year under Gus).

Aren't y'all playing Bama this Saturday? This is a misdirected grind, one of the Grind elders needs to talk to you.

Winning a national championship is very difficult, even a great coach can go his whole career never winning one.

I think it's funny the audacity of State fans this year. You're having a great year... so far. In two weeks you will have 2 or 3 losses and next year will be back to the same old MSU. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I think you're onto something. At least unless the CFPC has their way.

At least with the Chiz, Fairley was there to knock out (literally) 5-7 starting QBs from the contest vs. AU.

I'm all for trolling other teams, but GTFO on this one.

Dude took a winless team, and won the SEC the very next year.

This board is terrible sometimes.

You are funny....or drunk - maybe both. Come back here on Monday and tell us about "ships" after Bama beats you by 24 points on Saturday.
