We already have an 8 team playoff in case you have not noticed

4 CCG's = 1st round
4 playoff teams = 2nd round

Absolutely MF right. Not to mention the last games of the season that are usually against a hated rival and great elimination games.

4 is ALL we want if you are a smart SEC fan. Cause anymore and we're playing the same team we faced in regulation. How many times does MSU want to try to beat Bama? (assuming you got past us the first time) And visa versa. I sure as hell don't want to play AU, OM, or LSU more than one damn time.

Problem with this is the Independents and Big 12...they have no conference championship game. If you go to 8 games...5 Conference Champions, 3 wild cards. Conference champions give 9-3 teams a chance to play their way in. The wild cards give the independents i.e. Notre Dame/BYU, teams that lose in Conference Championship Game i.e. 2003 Oklahoma or teams that don't win their division i.e. Bama in 2011.
