Whats up guys. A few buddies and I are heading up for the game and would like some insight on gameday parking. Is it a good idea for us to park in the free lot across from Baum field and take the buses? Are there any closer free lots or some lots that charge as you enter? TIA

That's your best bet since you're not a season ticket holder. You also could keep driving towards campus and turn right onto MLK and park at that gas station or the Wendy's for $10-$20.

Do those lots usually fill up? What time should we head out there so we can get in?

To be honest with you man, I don't see it being very crowded this weekend. With the weather and not so great season this game isn't a sellout yet. The game is at 7, I bet you could show up even before 4pm and get a solid spot. But that is just my opinion. I doubt there will be much tailgating going on and people will arrive late to the game if I had to guess.

Baum lots usually aren't full till like an hour before kickoff. Old procrastinators down there usually. Not bad though, is free another buses take priority over cars. When it's not 25 degrees I usually just walk.

See if any of the Greek houses are selling parking spots. I know a few campus ministries do, but it's typically for alumni. Not sure if visitors can buy spots, but it's worth a shot.

We often park up at the houses on the west side of the stadium back in the neighborhoods. We know several people with houses back in there who let us park with them.
I just had a horrible vision of what that neighborhood is going to look like after the game if the snow/ice sticks. Holy hell, that will be a mess.

Going from how bad the weather is let me revise my advice to park as close to the stadium as you can. Try to avoid the back roads in town... if you put a bit of snow and ice on them they can turn into a one way trip to tow truck city.
Also... who downvotes parking advice? Some poor ranter out there has some issues.
