What you want to eat???

Steaks-Ticos or Ely's (both fine dining)

Seafood-Crechales-but out of the way and in the ghetto, Mayflower is downtown.

Catfish-Cock of the Walk

Italian-Amerigo, or Cerami's

Mexican/Latin (white tablecloth)-Sombra, Babalu

Weird shite-Julep and Mint

Went to Tico's Wednesday night and had the best ribeye I've ever eaten. Fantastic food and you don't have to be all dressed up to go there.

I agree w/ babalu. Best burger in town. Tableside guacamole is good. Nice drinks.

Another option would be Pig and Pint. Good beer and bbq.

Saltine has great beer selection. Craig's oyster stew is fantastic, as is the PB&J (pork belly with boiled peanuts)

All of these are in Fondren and would be considered casual.

Keifer's is ok but I'd personally choose the other 3 first.
