There are quite a few geography errors, but that's not uncommon in these popular cartoonish maps of the era.

I didn't know Case Western ever had a football team, for instance.

The year this map was made, TCU was national champion.

Major Conference Champions and final ranking:
Big Six: Oklahoma (#4)
Big 10: Minnesota (#10)
Pacific Coast: USC (#7)
SEC: Tennessee (#2)
Southern: Duke (#3)
Southwest: TCU (#1)

Great find ANC, definitley going to buy that and find some nook to put it in at home in the office or in my office office.
