If two SEC West teams remain in the final 4 after the regular season...

Is there any advantage of the West winner going to the SECCG - seems you would have more to lose than gain? Is there anything the SEC can do to address this?

Depends on how much value the commitee places on conference champions. Obviously it would be an advantage going into the playoffs without having played in a conference title game.

Of course not.
And this year there isn't much to lose because nobody from the East is going to win the SECCG. Conference championships are going to carry a lot of weight with the committee once they're crowned, so I'd definitely want to be playing and winning the SECCG. It'd be uncomfortable to watch teams right behind you winning conference titles while you sat it home because that's a wild card we won't know how the committee will play until the final standings are released.

SEC fans should pull for Utah and Kansas St. this weekend, and Miami (hosting Jameis) next weekend.

I've already said it, the conference championships are meaningless and the championship games are liabilities now. It will remain this way as long as they don't give auto-bids to conference champions.
