All of it?

Momentum is a funny thing. No doubt our players felt they would win going into the game and Florida's players, coaches and fans had their doubts. Then Georgia scored first and reinforced our beliefs. But then Morgan missed a routine FG in a vicious crosswind. After that the transformation began. Florida started running the ball on every down. They just pushed up the middle and their RB's were determined and bulldozed with the momentum of the pile in front of them and pushing behind them much like a Rugby match. As such they just kept getting first downs eating up at first only 3 or 4 yards at at time, then later 10 yard chunks a pop. When we did wall them in up front, their RB's did just what Chubb did on one play and bounced to the outside for big yardage; our outside containment was weak and simply awful. As the trend continued, our defense became weary and it was all over but the crying. Our final drive in garbage time made the game look closer than it was. In the end, Florida ran the ball for 418 yards, the most piled up against a Georgia defense since 1978.

Our outside containment guys were simply out played. Bad angles, giving up after being blocked the first time, and not any hard hitting that I noticed. Did we really think they were going to throw the ball? The bad part to me was there seemed to be NO adjustment at half time. The really bad part I noticed was we seemed to get out ran when they did break loose. I didn't see a player gain any ground and get close to running them down from behind. We were beat at half and took a beating the rest of the day. If we let the other teams attitude of "want it more" beat us this last weekend then we better get our heads out of our asses and get ready for Kentucky because I bet they are pumped after seeing that shite show we displayed.

I will say it again. That fake was probably the biggest thing to take the wind out of our sails. It seems that whenever something like that happens, we go flat. And we went flatter than flat in that game.
