Yep. Unless he can get a good psych and lawyer and argue some kind of mental disorder with his obsession over it. Never underestimate the chance for people to mete out justice on emotion rather than law.

I'd still be burning his nuts with the hot tongs if it were me. Killing him hasn't taught him a damn thing.
