Ole Miss at #4 surprised even Arhie and he was recently on the committee. If Ole Miss beats Auburn they belong there and if they don't they won't be there long. Bama can get in the mix if they beat State and AU. So really Bama controls their on fate by virtue of who they have remaining.

WE GOT SOME REBEARS UP IN HERE. I have a weird feeling that a lot of LSU fans will show up in this thread even though the thread title is supposed to exclude teams not in the playoff chase.

It is October brah, not December. MSU, Ole Miss, Bama, Auburn and yes even LSU are still in the hunt. Still a lot of football to be played. The SEC West has not been won yet.
