How does Cooper compare to other SEC great WR?

I haven't got a chance to watch him much. He's clearly very, very good. What kind of size does he have? I know he's fast. How are his hands/open field ability?
Where would you rank him amongst recent guys like Julio Jones, AJ Green, Alshon, Hunter, Patterson, Mike Evans, OBJ, Landry, Matthews etc?
Don't rank them based strictly on stats as those are very dependent on more factors outside of the control of the WR. More so raw talent/eye test and then stats after that?

I'd say he is most similar to Julio but more polished as a receiver.

I think Cooper is a different style of WR. He relies less on his physical attributes and more on smarts and timing. He can get a corner or safety to bite on a fake unlike any other WR I've seen.
I think he's more polished as far as route running than any of the other WR's you've listed, and that's saying a lot considering OBJ and Landry were elite route runners.
ETA: If I just wanted one receiver to run a 9 and catch a jump ball I wouldn't choose Cooper. But 3rd and 12 I'd take him over any of the others.

I'm not going to rank them because that is a waste of time and just cause a flame war thread.
Cooper is a great receiver that can go up and fight for the ball and win and also make the dbs look foolish once he is in the open field. He has great speed and runs as good a route as any receiver that has ever played at Bama. The guy is phenomenal and a pleasure to watch play. Plus he is humble and lets his game do his talking. I hate that he has less than half a season left in a Bama uniform.

He should be more productive than some of the freak athlete WRs who don't have the work ethic/mental capacity/whatever to reach their potential. But will always be the AJs and Julios, and I doubt he'll reach that level.
I think he'll be more of a "very productive" NFL receiver than a highlight reel, elite NFL receiver. Which is obviously still extremely valuable.

He is very similar to marquese lee from USC .but may be faster. Good hand, explosive route runner, doesn't have the freak athleticism that Julio had

He's the most explosive WR in SEC history. Never has any other player taken so many screen passes 50+ yards to the house.

He's not a man, he's a god

he is the best one on the list. he is actually in striking distance of jordan matthews career yardage record if we get into the playoffs, and thats with only 3 seasons instead of 4

Cooper is just excellent at being a wide receiver. He does all the little things right. Is he Julio? No, and he never will be. Julio is freakishly fast for someone with his frame. He's a combination of agility and power that seemingly defies the laws of physics, but Cooper is special. He has that crazy field and body awareness that allows him to make insanely complicated football movements appear intuitive and easy. His instincts are on another level.
Forgive the basketball analogy, Julio is Magic Johnson and Amari is Larry Bird.

I see Cooper get labeled a lot as being a good athlete and elite route runner. That's false. The guy is an elite athlete. He'll run somewhere between a 4.30 and a 4.39 at the combine. He turns into a running back when he gets the ball. He usually breaks the first tackle. His running ability actually reminds me a lot of Allen Iverson in his prime on the basketball court, very sudden in his stop/start move and top speed in 2 steps. He's the best I've ever seen at lulling a DB to sleep, he goes from 75% to 100% speed routinely and that's hard to cover when it only takes him a step.
Best comparison I can think of is Percy Harvin with better hands and better routes. His size, speed, yac ability screams Percy Harvin

1) Julio
2) Mike Evans
3) AJ Green/Cooper
4) Odell Beckham Jr
5) Matthews
6) Hunter
7) Landry
That's about how I'd rank them

Based on raw ability (ball skills, speed, size, athleticism, etc.) he is behind Duke Williams in the SEC this year. In the BCS era I would also put him behind Julio Jones, Percy Harvin, AJ Green, and maybe Dwayne Bowe.

He's most comparable to Robert Meachem IMO. Not huge but big enough with solid hands and excellent speed.

He's right with them for sure.

Good athlete, great player. He is more polished right now than any of the players listed by the OP but the only negative is his ceiling might not be as high as a Julio or AJ based on physical size.
