1) Auburn beats ole miss but loses @ UGA and @ bama
2) LSU beats bama and bama beats state and auburn at home
3) State loses to bama and ole miss
4) LSU wins out (obviously)
In this scenario there would be a 4-way tie amongst LSU, Alabama, state, and ole miss.
It would first come down to record of the tied teams against the other tied teams.
That would leave ole miss and LSU tied at 2-1 and bama and state at 1-2.
LSU owns head to head with ole miss. Therefore LSU wins west and goes to play probably georgia in Atlanta.
Boom roasted. It could happen. All plausible outcomes

Three-Team Tie (or more)
If three teams (or more) are tied for a division title, the following procedure will be used in the following order: (Note: If one of the procedures results in one team being eliminated and two remaining, the two-team tiebreaker procedure as stated in No. 1 above will be used):
A. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams
B. Record of the tied teams within the division
C. Head-to-head competition against the team within the division with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through the division (multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last and a tie for first place will be broken before a tie for fourth place)
D. Overall Conference record against non-divisional teams
E. Combined record against all common non-divisional teams
F. Record against the common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division; and
G. Changed: Combined SEC record of the team’s cross-divisional opponents

I don't think you know what that word means.

Gotta have hope.
Even if it is false.

It could happen but it probably won't

Us losing 2 games isn't plausible
It's impossible; we're the best team in the world.

The fact that you went through this mental exercise should be commended.

LSU has needed crazier things to happen before that did. This is Les MF Miles we're talking about here.

This is probably more realistic than what we needed to happen in 2007.
It's a long shot, but all of those things are very possible.

I don't think LSU wins the west but I can see LSU finishing 2nd after Auburn loses to UGA and Bama and Bama loses to LSU and MSU.

This scenario almost seems to be a forgone conclusion when compared to 2007.

Two time 2 loss national champs.
Imagine the collective butthurt around the nation. Would be glorious.
ETA: And UGA would have 2 losses again and be left out.

The problem with that is Ole Miss is going to lose the rest of their SEC games, so they wont beat State. Sorry for your shortfalls

Suppose there was a 3-way tie with Bama, LSU and State, wouldn't LSU go due to stronger east sched?
