re: Faulty equipment? Or most brutal facemask ever?

I'm certainly no expert, but I do think the neck is strong from twisting and snatching. I've seen many ugly face mask tackles, but no injuries. Anyone know of any. I think a hat or knee to the face would suck big time. Saw a guys thumb get caught between two hats and explode.
