Damn, is she ok? My FIL was bitten on his arse by a brown recluse and has a baseball sized indention where it ate his flesh. I hope your friend's bite doesn't turn out as bad seeing as that it's on her face

It really matter where you get bitten. At that point of the mouth you are right next to blood beneath the skin. It is why folks get knocked out in boxing. I can hit you there or just below where the jaw is at rest and you feel it. If your cardio is already up and then I hit same spot you are out cold.

Had a friend in TX who was bitten on his toe by a black widow. Got him to the hospital and treatment. Doc said if bite had been in the chest around the heart we might not have been so lucky. On a positive note the dude always checked his boots when we went camping after that.

I need to take one of those things live to Toby Jones, then snack on it while getting a foot massage.

I dated a biologist for awhile and I think this is a wolf spider. They are pretty common and pretty cool spiders. Not really aggressive and pretty interesting to look at in the labs and in the wild. Females are pretty protective of their egg sac.

Prayers sent. Seriously. That may really screw her face up.

I have a nickel sized hole on my left butt cheek from a spider bite. It kept getting worse and worse until I couldn't sit down anymore. Doc gave me some shots and lanced it for me.

"the spider doesn't pose a threat to humans. Even if it bites you, "a chicken can probably do more damage,"

Obviously the writer of the article posts here and got a reprimand from the Boss.
