I was just looking ahead to when we play ole miss in a couple of weeks... I was thinking that we should be able to line up and run it straight at them... Seems like their front 4 aside from RN is a little light in the pants.. I didn't get to watch much of. The bama om game.. Was Bama not able to run the ball effectively?

For one drive they ran it to the left and were successful. Then we made adjustments and they couldn't run it very well after that. People seem to forget that though. They say Kiffin just abandoned it when in reality we stopped it and he had to look elsewhere.

Yeldon had a good game. Henry and Sims did not. They averaged 3.8 as a team.

We should have run left all day long.

Marshall will need to prove he can complete short to intermediate passes in order to execute long drives. Auburn does have the big physical WRs that could give our smaller DBs like Hilton and Golson some trouble.

I think we did ok against your offense last year other than containing Marshall running the ball himself. I don't remember Mason doing too much. Our D is far superior to last year's version.

Not to go too rebtard but the way our D is playing I can't imagine many offenses having sustained success.

You're wrong to think this.

Losing our starting center definitely had an impact. How much? Who knows?

I would tell you, but I don't trust you not to pass it along to Gus. Remind me after the game, and I'll PM you about how you should have approached things if you promise not to tell State and Georgia.

Another thing I noticed is that Ole Miss started to cheat up when they realized that Blake wasn't completing very many of his passes. Combine that with our injured center and a very good Ole Miss defense and you had a dysfunctional running game in the second half.

Our o-line is not 2012 where we could tell the opponent we were running at them and dare them to stop it. We needed our quarterback to take some pressure off of the line and he couldn't do it. Credit to the OM defense for taking away a lot of the easy passes he had depended on all year.

If you're going to be successful at running the ball, you will need to have a passing game that Ole Miss defense respects.

Ole Miss has a nasty defense that will beat you up similar to Bama's '09 group. I doubt any 1 thing will be very successful. You have to attack them at all levels. Our interior Oline was already the weakest its been in years and then you add in the Kelly injury and you get a dysfunctional run game.

Ole Miss has a very quick defense and will shut down Gus' offense.
Although Bama fans need it otherwise, Ole Miss will shut down Auburn 's offense to about 20 points.
Just hope you can shut down Ole Miss' offense more than that.

Running behind C-Rob worked for us. They sort of adjusted, but even still they didn't stop it, we just left it.

Auburn has a good chance to win the game. People forget Bama had that game won if not for a number of mental breakdowns late. Limit the mental mistakes and you can beat them.

Just don't throw it a lot. That defense has a number of ball hawks.
