Does anyone play spades?

I've been playing for a while (since the military) and was wondering if anyone else plays often or did at one point or another.

I'm horrible at it, but I give it a shot every now and then. It has been a while though.

I pretty good at it too. I don't purposely low ball anything but I will call a few less books when the other team overbids and set them.
We play straight spades where Ace is high with no trading cards on lows.

Nope, never learned how, I'm afraid.
There's a group of airmen who play in the break room every now and then, but i'm usually busy when they're playing.

I play with my in-laws religiously. We probably play 75-100 500 point games between Oct - Christmas.
I just recently learned that some people play with hand bags and if you acquire 10 you lose 100. I tried to introduce this rule because my BiL is a notrious hedger and was booed mercilessly.

Play a game of Spades and followed by a game of Hearts. It will work on your for a bit.

Never played spades, played a shite ton of Euchre as a kid though.

I used to play a lot. It's a lot of fun.
I also like Bridge. It's like Spades but you'd better really like and trust your partner. I've been in many a match where partners yell at each other.

Used to play a ton with buddies when I was single. Grew up in a Rook family, but Rook is all about getting the right cards. With Spades you can do more with a bad scoring hand.
