Serious question...if you can be ranked #1 in the country at MSU, why go to Florida? With the money that all of these schools will rake in off the SEC network, any school will be able to pay whatever to keep their coach. Right now, I don't see why Florida would be a better job. Mullen isn't going anywhere.

What division do you think would be easier to win the next several years? The East or the West.

Because Mississippi is a so-so state for talent that is poached by SEC programs on every side, while Florida is simply THE BEST state for talent in college football.

That would be my reason.

I can't tell if this is serious or not. On the off hand it is, let me take a second to educate you. Money & recruiting. Sure, FSU is currently the top team in Florida but with the influx of SEC Network money coming in, in the next 5 years or so the UF program will be worth $60-70 million more. That money and facilities, combined with one of the best States for recruiting where kids want to play in the SEC (not to mention you can grab from Southern Georgia) and you have the chance to do special things there. Not to mention you leave a cow patty of a program in the most difficult division in college football that will never be a perennial tier 1 SEC program and yea... sustainability, money, facilities, ease of recruiting... the Florida job is miles ahead of MSU.

I still hate Florida but let's be logical here.
