I feel like Haynes has a big day. 3-4 sacks.
Chattanooga had 5 sacks. Granted they have two NFL prospects on their DLINE but they still had 5. We're giving up ~4-5 every game. I think UF has 6 or 7 but UF was a nightmare matchup for us since they had both a strong front AND a strong LB corps.
All I ask is that you not injure Worley. Knock him down but please leave him in one piece. We need him for the rest of the season.

We have at least 4 NFL prospects on our line and our LBs are solid.
I don't wish injury on Worley...but he's about to have a long arse day.
Homecoming at VHS...the Landsharks are gonna feast.

Oh your dline, especially your front scares me to death. I mentioned Chattanooga because we just played them and even though they have 2 NFL prospects on their dline that many sacks shouldn't have happened, imo.
I'm interested in your LB corps. How do they compare to OU, UF, and UGA's?

Oh I know that. I should've been more clear as it was a bit of gallows humor as we're all kinda wondering if Worley will survive this season. We really, really, need him to as we're trying to redshirt Dobbs and Peterman is just awful but I've never seen a QB take more punishment than Worley has this year and that's only magnified by the fact that last year's line was damn good and we hardly ever saw our QB get sacked (fewest in the NCAA). This year tho, *I* could sack our QB and I have the frame of a skinny arse basketball player.
What's the deal the Landshark nickname? I've always wanted to know where that came from/what it was about.

I haven't heard anything about Collins Moore in forever. Is he sitting the year out?
Posted on 10/13/14 at 6:51 pm to Dixie.Reb
He got hurt and just had surgery last week...

Someone who knows him said he's gonna take a RS.

Yeah he is... He's one of my friends and that's the route he's taking
Posted on 10/13/14 at 7:07 pm to WhistlinDixie15
Yeah that was you I saw say that.

That's a shame. I remember back in August it sounded like he might be back for Bama. It'll be nice to have a senior receiver next yet, but I hate that he's missing this special year

I'm just praying that Worley comes out of this game healthy, if he gets hurt our season is over
I don't expect us to score more than 13

TAMU barely scored 14 and then got 6 in garbage time.
I'm calling for a shutout.
38-0

Tenn has a good defense. I think it will be closer than this.

Hypothetical question: what would y'all's record be if y'all had last year's offensive line for this year? Given y'all's receivers I would have to think UT could've scored a lot more points on Florida and probably have beaten UGA.

5-1 in all likelihood
Some would argue we would've beaten OU but I disagree

Yeah that's where I would peg y'all at is 5-1 with a loss to OU. If I'm not mistaken, y'all return every starter on offense sans Worley next year, including two-deep on the line and receivers, right?

As far as i can remember with the exception of Marlin Lane who is a RB that's sort of splitting time with Hurd right now at starting tailback. I expect by the end of the year Hurd will have the job by himself though
One of our big concerns right now is that a couple of these guys on the line like Colman Thomas don't look like they will ever be able to play on an Oline in this league which means we will be breaking in more freshman at the position next year or the year after
Pretty frustrating to watch this expecially if you dont think these guys are the long term solutions

FR OL don't usually do that well in the SEC. It takes a special talent. Give them some time, I bet a couple surprise you.

Butch said today that Lane has been bumped down to third on the depth chart behind Hurd and Scott. He won't be missed imo.
The problem with Thomas is he is a true freshman that was recruited soley as center. Obviously, he's not cut out to be a tackle in tSEC but he could be good at center. The fact that he's pretty much being forced in at RT is just another example of Dooley's ineptitude.
Kerbyson and Crowder are the real disappointments when you consider that they are each in their 4th year in the program.
