I don't see how anyone can be happy in Starkville. It is the worst of all the SEC towns. If another school wants Dan Mullen, he will go.

Yep, no offense to State, but I don't see anyone hanging around that shithole any longer than they had to. I don't care what he's telling Joe Bob down the road.

Mullen is not a teenager or someone in his early 20's looking to get drunk or laid by as many women as is humanely possible. I also think the importance of a great party scene is overblown in recruiting. Players in the SEC probably have to lift weights, practice, or play in games 300 days out of the year. They have maybe 1 or 2 off days a week where they can really get fricked up without it negatively impacting their performance as an athlete.

State is at a disadvantage compared to some other schools when it comes to tradition, facilities, and location

Some people prefer small towns.

Everything I have heard says at this point there are only a half dozen programs that he would leave for. We have no problem paying the man if it comes to that.
