You just bend over and take it. We didn't even have a permanent coach in 2012, so it wasn't very surprising. In fact, I was expecting a disappointing season if Petrino had stayed, because all the pre-season hype was WAY overblown and it began before the 2011 season ended. I still remember being shocked when ESPN called us a 2012 contender during the 2011 season, despite that we were losing most of our star players.

I guess my point is that this Arkansas fan wasn't as disappointed with the 2012 season, as most probably think. The media was far more shocked then I was.

I saw the writing on the wall during the 2011 season that would foretell the 2012 season. I just hoped to God our failures were due to the massive loss of players after 2010. Early in 2012 it was clear Chizik's arse was going to be canned & IMO he was fired after the Arkansas game...they just hadn't officially announced it yet. Watching those 2 big games late in 2011 & the 2012 season I've never been so apathetic as a fan. I laughed at the blow out losses to UGA & Bama. I was so demoralized after 2012 UGA game that I knew there was no way I'd watch 1 minute of the Iron Bowl 2 weeks later. I went to the farm & planted some food for the deer. It was awesome. For the sake of you all, never ever let Gene Chizik near your football team. Hes a good man. He means well, but he is not a Div I HC. He has no understanding of player development. He will ride high & mighty on previous coach's successes...Tuberville. Like a poster before me said this yeasts USCe team is nowhere near as awful as the 2012 AU team.
