Yea. We gotta get back to taking it out on ocelot. He's a good punching bag living in NYC. He's used to rats, bums, needles, POCs, and < 800 sq ft living spaces.

You are so much more right than you know. I 100% have noticed that I am 5x's the a-hole I was before I moved here. I have no patience for people out on the street. I mouth off all of the time at stupid mid-20s women checking their fricking phones while trying to walk up a subway exit while 100 people are behind her. Just completely oblivious to the fact that they occupy the same world as anyone else. Easily my biggest pet peeve about living here. There's never room to pass people on the f'ing sidewalk so I end up walking half an inch behind some dumbass for a block trying to find a second to pass...all because their fricking facebook needed to be updated.

But I digress. We do have other NYC posters that can be punching bags.

And, news flash: I'm moving away from NYC. Got a promotion to work out in San Francisco, so moving to the Bay Area in about a month.

I think we've all gotten a bit tired of losing and seeing how close we were to a 20pt win over A&M is stressing us as we know they may be our best shot at winning a conference game until November.

Honestly, I just didn't think it was cool, nor has it been cool when others have suggested it, that posters "go back to hogville" for expressing their opinions.

How fricking boring would this place be if we all got along all of the time? Hell, I've tried being civil with Stonehog a few times (bygones and all that). He doesn't seem to have any interest in anything other than being a bitch-arse, ban bet welshing pussy. So we'll have our conflict. I just won't act like the pussy he is and ask anyone to remove themselves from the debate. Debate is fun. It's what makes message boards worthy of existence.

:kige:

If everyone agrees then it gets kinda boring. I appoint you the villain of our board until you move to the bay area. Then we will have to choose another.

Yep, same. I don't think of it as being an a-hole, I think of it as being way more assertive with strangers in public. It's a necessity here.

If I leave the NYC area, I'm going to a smaller city. No LA, Chicago, or SF for me.

Now I really hate you.

I'm uber jelly.

So how much is your apartment going for? Hopefully I'll require living in NYC or the Bay Area again in 2-3 years.

I'd already have seed and second round funding years ago if I were in San Jose running in the circles I was making headway into when I was out there in 2010.

If you'd like a little personal insight on the South Bay area give me a holler. You're going to absolutely love it there. Make sure you spend some time in Half Moon Bay in the winter sitting on the edge of the ocean and feeling the energy of the massive ocean swells and the 40-60 foot waves.

Go to as many games as you can in AT&T park. Stock up on Razorback hoodies.

Big Basin is tremendous, I've never done shrooms or anything remotely similar but I'd be willing to camp out in the Redwoods and gypsy dance with Sasquatch.

Sonoma is over-rated but the resorts there are not, your lady will enjoy the pampering and vino.

You're trading subways for traffic and trains. The BART will seem like the old west to you, and the lines further out will seem like the stoneage.

There's a bajillion superfund sites out there, tap water and any ground water is suspect.

Santa Cruz will remind you of a juiced up Fayetteville on the Ocean. I didn't appreciate it as much as I should of. My gf I had out there was a super prissy preppy asian, which I like of course, but she was more frightful of the wierdos and that made nights out in downtown and clubs a little tense. The people are amazingly chill there.

Don't frick with any vatos. The Norteno/Surueno/MS-13 stuff is the only real gang issues. Hispanic nightclubs aren't going to, and you'll be tempted to find some legit salsa spots just don't stay too late.

Watsonville... just don't.

Same for Gilroy. The outlet mall will be tempting though.

L&L Hawaiian BBQ, don't miss it.

You're also trading high rent for stupid high rents.

You'll be so much more active on the West Coast. NYC seems like it'd make a person to live in a micro environment because there's so many options so close, there's a lot more room to roam and stretch your legs in Cali.

Vegas flights are scary cheap.

Half Dome is too close to spend some time out there.

Modesto is a shithole.

If you want sort of reasonable and affordable housing and not live in a Sikh or Chinese neighborhood. I liked Willow Glen, Los Gatos, the Almaden area, Campbell, and Mountain View/Los Altos Area.

We'll need to work out some type of overnight Fed Ex thing so you can send me Pizza My Heart pizzas.

You'll love the Waze app, dodging traffic will become a fine art in your life.

If you choose to live further up the penninsula, you'll wish you chose further down after a while. SF is close enough to drive for day trips and evenings out.

Enjoy the hell out of it, it's a fabulous place to live. again, very jelly.
