That's the stupidest shite I have ever heard. You can't lose GPS coverage unless you are in a tunnel.

There are a bunch of "mental giants" up in this thread. I haven't seen a cow or bull on this campus since I parked the RV at the Horse Park a few years ago.

If God had to give the world an enema he would insert the tube in Starkville.

You're probably from Hanceville and went to Wallace Community College.

Parking downtown and walking or taking the shuttle is the way to go. It's a little over a mile to the stadium, so not a bad walk if you decide to hoof it.

Post-game food and drink: The Veranda, Commodore Bob's (cotton district), or Restaurant Tyler (downtown) are nicer options. Dave's Dark Horse Tavern is a great dive bar with awesome pizza and sandwiches.

Stagger Inn (cotton district) and Halfway House (downtown) both have good hot wings and a bunch of TVs if you want a place to watch football.

Those are all great choices. A few I haven't seen listed that are great choices. Union Station Grill, Harvey's, and Mugshots. Gonna be ridiculous wherever you go Especially tonight downtown in the CottonDistrict area. Bulldog Bash is tonight and will be crazy. I hope our damn students can pull all night er's and still be crazy drunk for the 11 am kick. If not, the student section may be hung over

Dave's Dark Horse Tavern
I had to look this one up. Have not heard of it. Doesn't look like much of a dive given the prices. $30.00 for a 14" pizza? Plate lunch looks good for today, though.

For what it's worth this is what we always do. I try to park somewhere around the cemetery and we walk in. If people aren't 300 pounds(which excludes most LSU/Bamer/Barn fans) it is a nice, enjoyable and scenic walk.

In all serious, thanks to the folks who have actually added something to help. It looks like we will park downtown and walk. Hopefully we'll see a nice place to hit on the way back (in the Cotton District.)

The $30 pizza you speak of are the Chicago-style pies, about 3-4 inches thick and loaded with toppings. It's delicious, but takes a while to make them. Great to split with a group because you'll only need a slice or two to fill up.

I usually go for the NY Style Chronic or the Manhattan Project.

You really can't go wrong with anything at Dave's. The setting is divey, but the food is great.

Let folks knock Starkvile all they want, but you will have a good time and experience. As long as you can get over your first loss of the season.
