We recruited thumpers at ILB under Grantham, not guys who are going to excel at man coverage. So, yes, you're right. They're both good at what they do, but they'll never be great in coverage.

so all you geniuses don't think we should hit the QB as often as possible?..you make it sound like all the opposing offense are fantastic and world beaters of the highest order...we haven't seen a decent offense yet.

nice to discuss theory but the reality is we can't cover anyone with our secondary and our ILB are horrible at coverage as well..but they are really great at slobberknocking folks, so why not have them do that a lot more often.

Play man to man and bring pressure. You may get burned occasionally but I bet you give up less points this way. Plus, what's the difference in a 70 yd TD pass or a 10 play, 80 yd TD drive? They're both 6 points but one burns clock and wears your D out.
