Way back in 2006 when I was choosing schools, it was overwhelming the amount of effort Alabama put into recruiting me, as well as several other of my friends I the Atlanta area. Between the letters, random bama gear in the mail, and probably the best campus tour guide I've ever laid my eyes on, it did the trick.
So, my OOS dollars and my post grad donations attend UA. Honestly, it was cool to go to a school with a super diverse student body with kids from all over. It was something that chased me away from places like LSU and Auburn. Both were fine schools, but Alabama just made bring an out of state kid a really smooth transition. Even if Atlanta was just a few hours away.....
