Yes.
All of the homosexual people I know didn't want to be gay, were gay from a young age, and wish they could hit a button and be straight. In the deep south its made their life a bit more complicated.

The Deep South can be a shitshow. I grew up thinking gay people were nasty and evil. Come to find out they're just people like me.

You could substitute literally dozens of behaviors and say the same thing. That doesn't prove anything.
