Your location says Sugarland, Texas. Just a heads-up that Sugar Land is two words. Are you an Indian dry cleaning store owner? Because they usually don't put the space.

Don't think Nick Satan could do that at State; not that he'd like that much of a challenge, nor do I blame him.
Lots of regional talent helps all of our coaches.

My list? Did not have one but Sumlin wouldn't make it.

God Himself, with Alexander the Great as his offensive coordinator and Leonidas of Sparta leading the defense, could not accomplish that at State.

Saban - Legit Elite.
Sumlin - System coach. Must have amazing QB to win games.
Miles - Got extremely lucky one year and backed into a BCS NCG that he won with Saban's players, other than that he sucks.
Merlin - Legitimately elite. If you can win at state you can win anywhere.
Bert - See Sumlin but with RB's. Can't coach his way out of a fricking cardboard box as evidenced by the plethora of chokes throughout his career (only big win was '10 vs OSU).
Freeze - Chipmunk
Malzahn - Legit elite but probably blew his load too early by doing so well his first season.

Sumlin is a damn good coach and recruiter.

I agree.
All are really good coaches. Not all elite, but all are really good.
And I think Mullen is a damn good coach that does really well with the talent he gets. Since hes been at Miss St their average finish in recruiting in the SEC is 10th-11th... out of the 14 teams in the SEC. His best year in recruiting was his first year there and they finished 8th in the SEC. Thats their BEST finish in the SEC. LSUs WORST finish in recrutiing in the SEC during that time span in 5th. And Im sure Bama hasnt been lower than that either.
And dont sit there and say "Hes not a good coach because he struggles in recruiting" or whatever. Miss St might be the hardest school to recruit from in the SEC outside of Vandy. It has 1 of the lowest, if not the lowest, athletic budgets. And, no offense to Miss St people, but its hard to get recruits to go to school in Starkville.
That tells me 2 things.... Mullen either does a damn good job at recruiting and finds some underrated / unheralded gems in recruiting. Or he does a damn good job developing talent. I personally think its a combination of both.
The knock on Mullen is that people had high expectations for Miss St right when he was hired and it took a little longer than people thought for them to take that next step and actually have aspirations and expectations for their football team. For some reason, people thought he would make Miss St a legit SEC team overnight. Thats really hard to happen at any school, and even harder at Miss St. It took a little longer than people origianlly thought when he was hired, but Mullen has built a very solid program at Miss St and has a really good football team now.

Yep, Freeze is probably the least credentialed at this point but he ruled W. Tenn. HS girls Basketball.
I think he'd be a pretty good coach at just about any sport. He was a good hire for Ole Miss.

No, Mullen is horrible. Can't develop players, inherited a juggernaut with awesome facilities, loses games he's supposed to win.... he's just pathetic. Never plays anyone well... team always looks like shite, can't get to a bowl game. Will take a lot of luck to win another game in the west.

Our system coach dropped 52 points and nearly 700 yds on your SEC least favored team. At their house.
