The #snowbowl thing was really funny.

Nobody gives a shite that State won an Independence Bowl in the late 90's, but they treat it like it's some sort of incredible moment remembered by everybody who is a fan of college football.

How many players on either roster, when hearing the term "Snow Bowl", would have had any idea that it was referring to the 2000 Independence Bowl that took place in front of a sellout crowd of 36,974 people?

Zero or none?

Um, two southern schools playing a bowl game in the South in a snowstorm is pretty memorable from novelty alone. It also was an entertaining game that was a typical RC "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" type of thing.

The Dallas/Miami Thanksgiving game was also well remembered by football fans, it didn't mean much either (other than showcase how stupid Leon Lett was).
