I think that Lane is a better coordinator than HC...however, he did a great job at holding off the NCAA sanctions for a year so he could load up on recruits in the 2011 class and go to a bowl game before the sanctions hit.

I understand people like to see things in a black/white fashion. But, I don't think Lane has been in a situation where one can truly judge his head coaching prowess. I feel like an inconclusive rating of his head coaching skills is appropriate.
