He did it for how long? He was also the co-offensive coordinator at USC so I think you need to pump the brakes on the whole "elite" ranking until he has run an offense by himself for a few years. I will say that he has done a good job with Simms and bama's offense so far, but it's a small sampling.

This is funny considering the large number of Auburn posters touting Gus as a supreme head coach after a single season as an SEC head coach and adding Sun Belt and SEC championships from his time as a coordinator to his resume.

Well that's different because...war eagle!!™

Fans can be homers sometimes. Kiffin has done an amazing job so far. If he can keep it up he might be the best OC in the conference.

And I have never been one of those fans. So if your point is some fans say stupid things that have no factual basis, I would agree with you.

Kiffin isn't an elite OC at this time. Get back to me in a few years when there will be more data and it can actually be discussed.

Well thats not really a good comparison at all, but I will ask you this. Would you consider Dameyune Craig an elite OC?

Most Auburn fans aren't claiming Gus supreme HC. But what he has done is impressive and he hasn't done anything to prove he isn't a great HC yet.

Bama fans had Kiffin deemed great before he coached a game at Bama and despite him having yet to prove he can coach a top 25 offense without Sarakisian's help. He has yet to even play a team that won more than 6 games last year and now he's already up to top 5.

You realize there have been national publications that rank Malzahn anywhere from 1-4 in the SEC? It's not just Auburn posters on this website.
