There are a 120ish or so FBS O-Cordinators, and another several hundred operating at all levels of football across the country; from year to year, there will be variance in success. That he has done so well at it, over a long time, speaks very well of him-- however, he's also done it with two teams that have an embarrassment of riches, when it comes to raw materials.
I'd say he's extremely good at his job-- a top notch offensive guy at making things work, even-- but I don't know if I'd qualify him over a guy who works at a marginal program and makes them better than what they should be, by a large margin.
I'd guess him as being a Top 10 type guy; the Top 5 guys, to me, end up as successful head coaches somewhere, eventually.
