I can't believe florida & tennessee are both facing each other, having both coming off a loss the previous game. And this has now happened 2 years in a row!!!

Injury update. Brandon Powell and Orr out for the game.
In other news can someone please explain why our LB Davis decides to say Tennessee RB Hurd and the vols wont be able to hang with them. Especially after getting lit up by Bama and Kentucky.LINK
Team stats for the upcoming game
Tennessee leads the SEC (3rd in nation) in fewest penalty yards per game. Guess who has the most in the SEC.... You guessed it none other then the University of Florida(100th in nation).
Gators 3rd down conversion rate 34% ranking them 110th in the country with 66 total first downs ranking them 119th in the country (This is really really bad)
Tennessee 3rd down conversion rate 41.4% ranking them 65th in the country with 87 total first downs ranking them 87th in the country.
Gators give up 406ypg(61st) 24.0ppg(59th)
Tennessee gives up 366ypg(39th) 23.8ppg(58th)
Florida 96th in country with 6 sacks and 38th with 5 ints
Tennessee 79th in country with 8 sacks and 38th with 5 ints.

You have to look at these stats differently.
UF has 6 sacks in 3 games. UT has 8 sacks in 4 games.
They both average 2 sacks per game.
The 66 first downs is totally skewed by the fact that UF has only played 3 games. Which is actually 22 first downs per game, which isn't great, but not bad either. That is #65 in the country - so middle of the road.
Florida's has been so bad because of busted assignments in the secondary. They fix those, the defense will look a lot better.

Yeah I realized that it has only been 3 games for us. I am very happy with the turnovers. Still think we should have more sacks. The only ones that really concerned me were the penalties and third down conversion rate. Cant win a game when you give it away on penalties and you cant win if you cant get past the 50 and convert some of those 3rd downs.

Roper is working his magic on Driskel and our secondary is gonna step up in this game, I expect our defense to cause a lot of turnovers. We are gonna beat the absolute shite out of Tennessee.
Book it.
Book it.

Honestly, we have a pretty good chance to make it to Atlanta with a win on saturday.
LSU - haven't looked very impressive and the game is at the swamp
Missouri - Indiana lol and it's at the swamp
UGA - this is gonna be a tough game...but I think Muschamp finally beats Richt and their QB makes Driskel look like a heisman contender.
Vandy - easy win
South Carolina - at the swamp and they're very inconsistent
GO GATORS

I don't understand how we can have such confident players who are so accustomed to losing. Holy frick.
Win -- then talk trash.

Exactly my point when we were winning we had that Swag that winning teams earn. For some reason we have that swag that just pisses everyone off now and makes us look like a joke. I want them to be confident but keep it on the field and in the locker room until you earn it.

Exactly. You can't get humiliated a week before and come out acting tough. Like a dude who gets knocked out by a bouncer and drunkenly stumbles down the street talking about how he can beat anyone in the world.
A joke. A miserable, stupid joke. I have no idea what's going to happen by the end of this season, but sometimes when I see our players act like this I don't want to even watch football anymore. I love our team, our university and our state, but this is the kind of shite that just makes me want to wait until we get a new head coach.

Our biggest challenge is the crowd noise and ultra fired up UT team that will take the field. We have to survive early onslaught.
UT still has a lot of youth and little depth on both lines...we have to exploit that...get turnovers and keep rocky flop to a minimum...and we have to convert third downs.
We must run the ball a lot to keep defense honest and open up passing lanes when LBs aren't dropping back. Our OL is key to winning...we pound them over and over again. We must keep Worley from having the ball too many times and play field position.
Its going to be close and usually close games are decided by special teams.
