Could Moo State actually win 10 or 11 games?

I'm seriously not trolling - that team was damn impressive. Their offensive and defensive lines were the best that I've seen since perhaps the 2011 LSU team and they clearly have a nasty streak as well. I suppose they don't have the depth of an Alabama or an Auburn, but still..

I realize that it's hard to picture an untraditional power like MSU nearly running the table, but let's look at their schedule...

BYE
Texas A&M
Auburn
@ Kentucky
Arkansas
UTM
@ Alabama
Vanderbilt
@ Ole Miss

From what I saw I could see them splitting the AM/Auburn games and then again splitting the Bama/Ole Miss games for a 10-2 finish.

A worst case scenario of LSU finishing 5th in SECW could actually happen

I think we'll finish with 9-10 in the regular season, there isn't a sure fire loss on the schedule as long as Dak is in the backfield.

The schedule sets up pretty well for us in alot of ways.

Off week to prepare for aTm while Arky is hitting them in the mouth repeatedly.

Get Auburn and Alabama directly off physical games with LSU. We play AU off aTm and Bama off UTMartin. Also get OM off Vandy. So, essentially we get 2 weeks to prepare for all of these teams except for AU...
That said, we'll know alot more about what we actually are after the aTm game. Most could see the LSU game coming with the actual matchup. aTm doesn't play into our strengths in the same way.

Looks like they could win 9 games plus a bowl game so yes.

After sobering up and rewatching the game today, I could see it happening. Last night I said 8 wins for sure, with a possible 9. I'm not quite revising it to say 9 for sure with a possible 10 just yet, but I can see it happening and wouldn't be shocked. Before I do any more predictions, I really want to see the Arky/Aggie game to see how those teams play out. I'm still very unsure about the Aggies and don't feel the USCe stomping was as good a win as I first thought.

What I don't agree on you with is LSU worst case being 5th in the West. I think 6th in the West is very likely, and going to a bowl at all this year should be their goal.

Easily. They beat LSU so we know they're good. Can't wait till they Grind on a few more west teams.

Please do not mistake LSU for a good team. Temper your emotions Moo U.

I'll be kinda surprised if they don't win 10 at this point. I expect them to split Auburn/A&M at home and then they are better than every other team they play except Bama. Getting the two worst East teams certainly helps.

If you think the worst LSU could finish is 5th, you haven't been paying attention.

If we win 10 or 11 in the regular season, I would flip my shite. I thought 8-4 was a good year coming into this season, with maybe a 5% chance to win 9.

If we win 1 of the next 2, 10 wins could happen. Still a long way to go, though.

Last time I checked, LSU is a Cow College, too; more of a Bull College lately, though...

Oops, sorry, back to topic at hand 10-2; not sure which 2, but, would guess A&M and AlaBama.

8-9 win team. Losing 3 out of bama, AU, aTm, OM, arky, and Kentucky isn't a stretch and 4 is possible.

10-2 is a very real possibility for them IMO.

I think we still don't know enough vs the pass to say we beat TAMU.

Has Hill been forced to run the ball? That would be the deciding factor, to me, for that game. Got to put pressure on him and slow the WRs down.

If Ark runs on them, we can look to controlling the clock and keep their offense on the bench.

Over all, I can see the west being won in Oxford with 2 undefeated teams playing for it.
