I think its great. We had to rely to much on Aaron Murray over the past four years, and so many times a mistake was made whether it be a stupid interception, Gates and Lynch missing blocks and letting Murray get pummeled and fumble, or just bad play calls. Mason is doing exactly what he is being asked to do, aside from the intentional grounding at the roach. He is completing 70% of his passes with no picks, you can't ask much more of your quarterback. I think the less UGA has to rely on Mason, the better chances we have.

I tend to agree. Before the season started all of us (or almost all) were saying he didn't have to carry the team. All he needed to do was mange the ball, not make mistakes. That is exactly what he is doing.

And, for any and all that bemoan that he hasn't thrown the ball deep? He runs the plays that are called from the sideline. I suspect we will see them open it up a bit as the season goes along. When he came in at the end of last year he threw the ball well. As the receivers and he feel more confident with each other we will throw the ball more and open up the offense a bit. I think we will see a much improved passing game in a couple more weeks.

Exactly.

Mason threw for 800 yards in 2.5 games in 2013 but his longest was only 48 yards, therefore, he isn't a good quarterback.
