Roper called a bad game and hopefully he can turn it around.

He called 9 straight runs in between the end of the 2nd Q and middle of the 3rd.

If your QB limits your playcalling, a change has to be considered.

That sums it up right there. I get the feeling Driskel has always been a practice warrior and turns into cannon fodder when its gametime. For 4 years now I have chalked it up to being a spread style QB playing in a pro-style, bad oline protection, limited QB coaching, WR with the dropsies and having to learn 3 new offenses. While the kid may have all the tools of an elite athlete, he doesn't have that "it" factor to be a SEC quality QB. The offensive line gave him adequate time today to go through his progressions and reads and he either made a bad decision or was to slow to pull the trigger when the play is there and he always overthrows wide open receivers down the field not to mention he doesn't have the best pocket presence. At this point if Roper and Muschamp stay with Driskel, I am just praying he becomes serviceable at this point. I will always pull for the kid because he is a Gator and I hope he makes me eat some crow and goes out there and tears it up from this point forward but right now I just don't see it.

Lets be honest with ourselves here. It would be nice to see Treon get the reigns and let him take his lumps this year so we could have a bright future but Muschamp is not worried about the future and he is not gonna let a true freshman decide his fate. If he did hand the job to Treon and we somehow ripped of a 7-4, 8-3 or 9-2 record (highly unlikely) you would have to give him credit for taking a ballsy approach and actually playing to win.

I will end this rant saying this. Any coaching staff in the country who isn't on the hotseat would of made the QB switch by now.
